Great fit for someone like me that has shorter fingers. Palms are well padded and the back side of your hand has more protection then most gloves out there in this price range. I use my glove while riding mountain bike. You feel much more confident riding, knowing that you have extra protection on your hands.

With items like this, I suggest going to an actual shop and trying gloves on to get a good idea of what size you are.

These gloves are garbage. Apparently the designer and manufacturer never used them. The inside seams are very rough nylon and very thick, so they dig into the backs of your hands and fingers. The sizes are also incorrect, as the large and medium are the same. A waste of money.

What ever you do, dont get the grey ones. They are dead ugly! Besides that they are confortable enough, but not very durable. The linning which holds the pads is already starting to rip of the short. I believe this is due to machine wash.

Very comfortable, even on long rides. Well made, thick fabric. Good pockets. Overall, a very good deal!

Got this bike primarily for my commute to work. Yes, even though a mountain bike isn't the most efficient bike for the roads, I wanted something that I could get a little rough with. So far I'm not disappointed at all. The gears did need a little tweaking but after that it's been smooth sailing. The Shimano derailleurs are nice, the dual suspension is terrific (my first bike with any suspension). With probably a few upgrades to components this could be a hardcore bike. For this price it definately competes with $1000 bikes.

Product was delivered promptly as expected. Assembly was easy. Features of product met my expectations. Gear set needed adjustment ... which was challenging. Was persuaded to buy color (yellow) matching athletic shoes from Amazon. Color matching bike gloves are next! Price was FAIR and equitable.

It turns on by twisting a knob on the underside, and it is possible to knock it off when you catch it. Still, it's a simple matter to turn it back on. It's a little more expensive than I would have liked for a product of this type, but it is as described.

The switch that keeps the light on could be a bit more robust. Other than that the product is good and I am pleased with my purchase.

My teenage son and his friends love this frisbee. They play frisbee football at night and it is really great! We have had other light- up frisbees, but this one is sturdy and professional! I highly recommend it!

Have been using ours for two years now. Can't say enough about how many hours of fun it has given us. It flies as good or better than any other Frisbee I've used, so there is no compromise. In fact, I tend to grab it rather than other non-light up discs even in day light. Buy it and see!!!

I purchased this device in April. Now, it is September. The first problem that appeared was its inability to keep accurate time. The clock advances too fast. I first noticed this maybe two months ago. The first couple times there was a difference I would reset/adjust the clock. It kept happening, so I decided to leave it alone for a month and the clock was over 20 minutes off by then. Then the past week, new problems. Now, it resets randomly and enters setup mode. Not sure why, but its in setup mode and the settings/clock is reset in the morning when I ride to work and the evening on the way home. Finally, now the light does not turn off. Arrggh! There is no indication on the device of a weak battery. Seems that device is problematic. I will attempt to get this replaced as it should still be under warranty. I did like the device for all its features in the beginning. Hopefully, it's just my device. Anyway, buyer beware.

The computer works great with one serious exception. When using the computer while I have my "NiteRider" bicycle light turned on, the computer readings become erratic. (Same thing happens when riding under power lines, but those are typically only for brief periods of time.) I attempted to contact Vetta customer service to see if there was anything that might be done to prevent this, but got no reply. Other than that, it's a great device and very easy to setup and operate.

I recently bought a hybrid bicycle for my wife and I noticed that her bike came with a kickstand complete with rubber foot. I was a little jealous! Browsing Amazon a few days later, I noticed this add-on item for Greenfield kickstands.

The foot is a very solid item; the rubber is quite thick. The foot seems a little bit loose on my Greenfield kickstand, but I just might not have pushed it up far enough on the kickstand. With the foot installed, my bike definitely sits more securely in our house. I'm not worried about brushing the bike and having it tip over as I was before.

I lost the foot on my CODA kickstand and ordered this as an inexpensive replacement. The end of the stand was too large for it, but after a little carving out of the hole in the foot, it fit, just barely. Finally some subtle pounding on it made it very snug indeed. Hard solid rubber; should last a long time.

Very low-priced and therefore worth the extra time figuring out how to make it work. Recommended, sure, why not.

Bought this as a spare for my Greenfield ATB Rear mount clamp on kickstand for my Trek 520. Stays on and doesn't fall off! The Kick Stand clamps on to the rear where the chainstay meets the seat stay at the drop-outs. Works great with my Trek 520 Road Touring bike.

I bought a bicycle and I had to purchase the kickstand too, what I did not know was the kickstand had a sharp metal stand and would dig into the ground, This Rubber foot is a GREAT idea!!!

I bought it for my kickstand it works good I put it on my kickstand and it stay on. I put my bike in the grass and it didn't fall over like it did in the pass it a good product

I bought two of these. I installed one of them on my son's 20" mountain bike with conventional brakes and the other on my 26" mountain bike with disc brakes. Both installed quickly and snugly. The adjustment mechanism easily accomodated both bikes. Hardware seemed to be good quality, much better than the "Greenfield Stabilizer Rear Mount Alloy ATB Kickstand, Black" model that I also ordered and installed but that broke almost immediately. Cannot comment on long term durability yet but so far so good.

This is a large and fairly stable kickstand. There is no special mounting point behind my MTB's bottom bracket like there normally is on road bikes. However, the kickstand uses a large diamond shaped mounting nut on the top that makes it possible to mount on bikes without any mounting bracket built in. I was somewhat concerned that the legs of the kickstand would not clear my large rear 2.2" MTB tire, but it did.

The metal is bulky but fairly soft, and you can cut the legs to size for your bike.

My biggest complaint is that the bolt that passes through the top diamond shaped mounting nut into the base of the kickstand was too short for my oversized chainstay tubes. The tubes weren't that much oversized though (Giant CFM2), so any oversizing at all would be problematic. As it is, the bolt screwed in but only held with a few threads. Several threads were stripped under heavy load as the metal is fairly soft. Now the kickstand is essentially worthless unless I can find a longer replacement bolt for it.

This is a great kickstand. If you load down your bike, then you really need a two leg kickstand. There are cheaper models, and they may be fine- I haven't tried them. I have installed this device and am very pleased. It is reasonably light (alloy), but very sturdy. What else can I say? It's only a kickstand, but it is a great kickstand.

Topeak Bike Cover (Mountain Bikes)

190T nylon cover is water-resistant and UV-proof. Elastic strap, bottom closure. Built-in self-storage bag.

The bike cover seems fairly well made but will not stay on the bike if there is any wind. There is no way to fasten it down. It blows off the bike and was of no use. Is only good in a controlled environment with no wind. Was not suitable for my use.

I bought two of these so we could keep our bikes outside without having to take up precious shed space. Although they are under an awning, they still get rained on constantly, and have held up very well imo. I am not a regular bike rider, so unable to comment how these would hold up under constant use (taking on and off) but I am pleased so far, even if they are a little spendy (about $25 ea for mine at the time).

Agree with others that these are slightly too short though. Covers my wife's mountain bike pretty well, but needs about 4 more inches of height to cover mine as well as I would like it to.

Bike cover fits my mountain bike really well. Durable material; it has some elastic especially around the bottom to keep it in place in all types of weather.

Basically the cover is too short and does not cover the entire wheels of the bike properly. The material of the cover is also a lot thinner than I had imagined. It is almost paper thin and it feels very fragile and weak. I'm not sure how long can this material can withstand the outdoor weather of sun and rain exposure. I'd expected a higher quality product from Topeak, considering the amount paid for a mere sheet of fabric. And also, folding the cover in its bag is like mission impossible, so don't even bother trying.

This cover arrived today & I put it on the bike, an EXL Cannondale Adventure street bike & it is a super fit.
I was concerned that it might be too small but the fit is great.
We live one block from the ocean & even though the bike is garage kept, the salt air will get to things & they will rust.
I hope this cover will delay the rusting process.
The material seems like a heavier weight & plenty thick for it's job.

What else can you say about them? They have held up well against our Pacific Northwest winters. They work and that is what we needed. Putting them back into the case after they've been out for 6 months is not as bad as it may seem either.

True, you will never get it back in its attached bag, but, this is a great cover if you are overly protective of your bike.

The bike cover would be better if it's more stretchable. Right now, my bike has to be stored with the front and rear wheels aligning (i.e., straight). Turning the front wheel when storing will over-stretch the cloth, and it can rip. Okay if you store in a garage, but when you live in a small apartment, storing "straight" can take up space.

Well made and quite tight. If you have any accessories on your mountain or trail bicycle you may find it a bit of a struggle to get this cover on. However, for most racing bikes it is great... if you are comfortable with spandex you will have no trouble.

Does a good job covering the bike, it looks much better than the cheaper alternative which is only $10 cheaper.....i'd say this is worth it...rain & light snow are no problem...the elastic can hold in pretty strong winds...

This is a portable floor pump for mountain bikers. Filling a large volume tire is VERY tiring and takes a long time with a standard handheld pump.. This pump transforms into a small floor pump for on the trail repairs. It is the absolute BEST pump a mountain biker can carry in their pack if convenience trumps weight. All my riding buds who put in lots of miles carry this.

5-star pump with a minor flaw.

If this thing was just a little smaller it would be worthy of a 5-star ranking. It won't fit on a 17" seat tube. It will fit on the down tube but because of its length you can't mount anything on the seat tube (like a water bottle holder).

The great thing about this pump is the flexible tube to connect to your valve stem so you dont bend the stem.

The foot brace and flexible hose make this pump a snap to use. However, it is heavy for a frame-mounted pump, and is a bit on the large side. Unlike the similarly-priced road version of the Morph, it does not have a built-in pressure gauge, which is a strange omission. It seems well constructed, and it works well.

its small size caught us by surprise, sometimes that gets to be an issue. but overall, it pumps well, is actually pretty sleek, so, if u bike long-distances, it might be a nifty little thing to carry.

Arrived in excellent condition, in the time frame promised. Pump is very good design, will not break or bend presta stems, because of the flexible hose.

Finding the Right Bike
To really enjoy cycling, it's important to find a bicycle that works for you. Here are some things to keep in mind when you're in the market for a new bike:

The Right Ride
In general, bikes are broken down into three major categories:

Road and Racing Bikes--As a general rule, road and racing are built for speed and longer distances on paved surfaces. Thinner tires, lightweight 29-inch (700c) wheels, and drop bars that allow for a more aerodynamic position are the norm. Most road bikes, regardless of price, offer many gears for tackling both hilly and flat terrain.
Mountain Bikes--With their larger tires, hill-friendly gearing, and upright position, mountain bikes are very popular for all types of riding, both on pavement and off. Mountain bikes that are designed specifically for rugged trail use typically feature a suspension fork. Some may have rear suspension, as well. A quick change of the tires on any mountain bike--even one that you use regularly on trails--adds to its versatility and makes it a worthy street machine.
Comfort/Cruiser Bikes--For tooling around on bike paths, light trails, or for cruising a quiet beach-side lane, comfort/cruiser bikes are the ticket. With a super-relaxed riding position, padded seats, and limited or no gearing, these bikes are made for enjoying the scenery and having fun with the family.

The Right Price
A bike's price boils down to three essentials: frame materials, bike weight, and component quality and durability.

Entry-level--You'll find a wide range of comfort and cruiser bikes in this category, as well as some lower-end mountain bikes and road bikes. Most will have steel frames and components that are designed to last for several years with frequent use.
Mid-range--Bikes in this range may feature a lighter aluminum frame with mid-range components that keep performing after miles of use. If you're looking for a quality bike that is relatively lightweight and will stand up to abuse, this is the "sweet spot." Most serious commuter and touring bikes fall into this category, as do mid-range mountain bikes with a decent front suspension.
High-end--Racers and serious enthusiasts who expect lightweight, high-performance components will want to stick to this category. For road bikes, exotic frame materials (carbon fiber, titanium) and ultra-lightweight components can add thousands to the price tag. Mountain bikes in this class often feature advanced front and rear suspension technology, as well as components designed to handle lots of rugged trail action.

The Right Size
Fit is crucial for comfort, control, and proper power and endurance on a bike. Here are some basic bike fit tips:

Stand-over Height--To find out if a bike's overall height fits your body, measure your inseam. Next, determine how much clearance you'll need between your crotch and the top tube of the bike. For a mountain bike, you'll want three to five inches of clearance. A road bike should offer between one and two inches of clearance, while a commuter bike should have two to four inches. Compare the stand-over height for a given bike to your measurements (inseam + clearance) to determine the right bike height.
Top Tube Length--You can measure your torso to get a good estimate of proper top tube length. First, make a fist and extend your arm. Measure from the center of your fist to the end of your collarbone (the part that intersects your shoulder). Next, measure your torso by placing a book against your crotch with the spine facing up. Measure from the spine to the bottom of your throat (the spot between your collarbones). Finally, add the two measurements (arm length + torso length), divide the number in half, and subtract six inches. This is your approximate top tube length. Compare this number to a bike's posted top tube length. You can allow for about two inches longer or shorter, as most bikes can be adjusted via stem length/height and saddle fore/aft position to make fine adjustments to the fit.
Bikes for Women--Proportionally, women tend to have a shorter torso and longer legs than men. Bike makers design women's bikes that offer a shorter top tube and many comfort/cruiser bikes built for women may also provide more stand-over clearance.

The Right Accessories
When you make a bike purchase, don't forget these crucial add-ons:

These are great bikes for entry level or people who don't plan professional biking career. I got it well packaged, easy to assemble, nothing really to do except mounting the front wheel and putting the breaks in place afterwards, then mounting the pedals. I ride it along with my son, on a back mounted children seat I got from Ross. shifts are easy and smooth, it needs calibration, as any other shifts. they are not the lightest bikes, but it's strong, I'm loading over 300 pounds on them with my son. The seat is reasonable, not very soft, and it's good that it's not that small tiny seat because for big people that one is a pain in the... but you know, it takes few rides for the ... to get used to those seats. Tires are good, I may replace them with less mounty ones, since i drive it on roads and paved tracks, not really down hill wild rides.

The bike frame was welded together wrong! The front wheel could not be put on the bike because the arms were not aligned. How can they make a bike so obviously defective and try to sell it? IF the bike had been correctly manufactured, it would have been the perfect bike for my 13 year old son. The quality of the bike itself was OK, a few things probably should have been a bit more quality, like the pedals, they were plastic, not good for $169. I'd say if you are a serious biker, this is not the bike for you. If you ride a bike for lesiure or family time, it would be fine.
Buying through Amazon was great, I was able to return the bike, free shipping, and was credited back the $169. I love buying from Amazon, they make it so easy for you, if your purchase doesn't work out. So don't tear the box up until you know the bike is a keeper!

Like other reviewers have pointed out the brakes on this thing are flimsy and its only a matter of time before the fail to work properly. Shipping was free and it looked that way when I received the bike. Shipping was so bad my rear rim was so bent it would not spin. Also the front forks/shock system was so badly put together I had to take it to the local bike shop and have them redo it. When riding the gears would automatically change. I'm sorry to say I do not recoomend this bike. Take your money and invest it into a better bike. I wish I had :(

P.S One good thing about this bike is it has a sturdy aluminum frame. Thats about it.

Amazon did their job quite well, it is GMC who did not perform so great. The bike arrived well ahead of schedule, however, the bike is not very well built. The frame is solid, the brakes and gears are a bit cheap, and they gave me a different seat than what was pictured(it is a big old granny seat). If you were to put new brakes and maybe a new gear set on this bike it would be about a 400 dollar bike. So it is overall a project bike for me, otherwise a great starter bike for someone who does not ride often.

Worst packaging ever. There isn't any type of protection between components. The frame and tires are tied up each other with plastic ties, that's all. I would assume that they would at least put some foam protection between the tires and frame, and around the frame.
There was not one single page of instruction about how to assemble it. You don't have to be a genius nor is it too hard to figure out but I wasn't sure about few small things and it would be great if I had a choice to look them up.
The worst part is that the bike requires assembly and there was not one single disposable tool to do the job. I mean come on, even the $25 coffee maker comes with some type of tool to assemble it, they just assume you should have the tools. Forget having the tools, there is nothing to tell you what type and size of tool you need, so you can't go and get anything from your local home depot, you will have to try and find out what fits.
The first thing I noticed was the one of the shifters was broken. It's made of really cheap plastic so no wonder it didn't make it the infamous UPS handling. But let's not blame UPS, if it was packaged properly, nothing would have happened.
Here is the funny part; the handle bars were assembled upside down. I attached it to the frame but it looked funny then I turned it the other way around to find out, it was assembled wrong. I have no comment, you be the judge of that.
Overall, the bike looks good, with fancy painting and labels, although few labels were not attached completely. Unfortunately I cannot say anything about the performance since couldn't make it to road. I couldn't try but the seat doesn't seem comfortable.
I should say it seems "OK" bike for people who intend to use it for joy rides once a week. However, I have to inform you that it is made of cheap materials, but then, you get what you pay for.
I read bad reviews about Kent who seems to be the manufacturer and/or distributor of this bike. I agree with them and I chose not to buy anything from them again. This was my first purchase for a bike and it went surprisingly disappointing. It's very disappointing when you wait for something impatiently and then find out you have to return it, search again for new one, wait another week or so, etc...
Maybe buying a bike online wasn't such a great idea but I thank you Amazon for making returns painless for us.

Suunto X9i Wrist-Top GPS Computer Watch with Altimeter, Barometer, Compass, and GPS (Tan)

I have owned this watch for two years. I have read the manual and tried the PC software. Neither are clear. I own several GPS receivers and watches. I regret trying to get this watch to do both. The battery goes dead very quickly and was replaced at the factory at my expense. The water resistance is now gone so it is in the shop again. It failed me in a mild rain.

The GPS is always slow to aquire a signal strong enough to mark a point or navigate by. All the time it spends trying figure out it's location it is also running down the battery fast. The buttons have a poor tactical feel to them that requires looking at the watch carefully or enabling the slilly beeps.

I wish I could get my time and money back.

Received this watch last week. Thought it would be nice to have all this functionality in a watch.

I have over 14 years experience with GPS systems. This one is perhaps the least stable I have ever used including the older sequencing receivers. Since it will not hold lock even in an open flat area unless held level and away from your body, you can't very well move about with it strapped to your wrist and get any usable data. In a car - forget it. I let it acquire and load the satellite emepheris data for 15 minutes, after which it still could not hold position fixes with any normal movement, even it open terrain with good satellite geometry.

The other functions work well enough, stopwatch, dual time, compass, barometer, etc. The temp function is worthless, however this cannot be accomplished with any watch since your wrist warms it.

In conclusion it is not as good as the Casio triple sensor pathfinder you can get for about 160 dollars, which has a compass, baro temp function and a battery that lasts years rather than days like this one does (between recharges).

I'm in the military and purchased this watch mainly for Land Navigation. When switched to MGRS this watch performed above my expectations. While in the desert the watch performed outstanding and outfited my squad with a ten digit grid. I love this watch mainly for military use the only downfall to me is the battery life.

I am a proud owner of the X-Lander and in hindsite wish I'd gotten another one when it finally gave it up at just over eight years of exceptionally hard use in a military environment. The GPS functionality and some of the other features in the X9i intrigued me however and I took the plunge despite some of the warnings and foreboding reviews regarding poor GPS signal lock, battery life, and faceplate delamination.

Thus far, I've experienced no problems with the GPS or the battery--yes, it does suck a lot of power when in GPS mode and requires more frequent charging but it hasn't been unmanageable and when used merely for jogging and time keeping functions when at home station, it has been a reasonably solid performer. The faceplate did delaminate within the first two weeks of ownership as warned however and disappointed me in the quality I would expect for such an expensive timepiece.

The prospect of the pain and suffering and expense of a return was more pain than I was willing to endure so I fixed the cheap faceplate cover delamination problem with a drop of superglue, almost certainly voiding my warranty which probably delights Suunto but since it has no impact on the performance of the watch as it's just a cheap (let me restate that incredibly cheap) plastic cover and has no impact on it's waterproof seal I chose to endure it.

In sum, a good product idea, possibly a good product in the future once it matures and they fix a few of these quality problems, but on the bleeding edge of technology and product development at the moment so unless you are a true early adopter, I'd recommend just saying no.

I ordered the X9i on the recommendation of a friend.
Boy was I disappointed...the manuals and instructions were unclear and badly organised in trying to find topics.
I never could get the GPS tracking properly and I found the Military version hard to read in different situations.
If you are slightly ancient you will find the dial hard to read and the buttons not user friendly.
I also would be given the incorrect time on numerous occasions and tried resetting a number of times..never did figure that out.
After a day I returned the product and am still awaiting the refund.
I ended up with a Garmin 60CSx and am so happy Io made the switch.
Having a wristwatch GPS sounded like a good idea but having now my handheld I think the larger color screen and easier controls and instructions makes it a much better buy in my opinion.

I tried to like this watch, I really did. The GPS can take up to 5 minutes to get a lock. Everytime. The GPS isn't accurate. The watch is fragile. After I gave up trying to use the GPS, I just wore it as an everyday watch. Then the casing for the face broke. I had to mail the watch to Suunto to get it fixed. Now if I try to use the GPS the log file aborts immediately. This watch is worthless.

Generally, it is a good watch: GPS, compass, barometer and altimeter,and thermometer. GPS is the most prominent fuction that the watch is proud of. Once GPS receives enough signals, it keeps them. But, it takes too long time to begin: more than 5 minutes to 10 minutes to start. Thermometer does not seem to be very reliable when it is put on the wrist. Compass functions are read in both ways: degree and mil. This function is very useful for the military. It is also good to be rechargeble. Generally, I am satisfied with the fuctions, but it neeeds more improvements.

I have owned this watch for 6 months now and have not experienced any problems. The average initial satellite link time is about 90 seconds. I have only lost the link a couple of times for a few seconds under heavy tree canopy. It is very accurate, have compared it against car speedometer, etc. Compass and barometer have also been right on. The temperature sensor is only accurate if you remove the watch from your wrist as it picks up the ambient heat.

I found the remarks of the one other positive reviewer quite a relief: the guy who pointed out that good performance of the GPS (i.e. the key unique feature distinguishing this watch from other Suunto models) hinges critically on whether or not you first get your satellite 'fix' properly. I have found that, if you wait the very first time you use it, to get a proper (not flashing) firm fix, then subsequent fixes have been relatively rapid (usually around 2 minutes in an urban environment. Once you have a lock-on, then subsequent performance is relatively fine.

I have a few minor gripes about the software visualisation. When it does loose satellite connection, rather than not graphing for the drop out period of time, the software includes the squiggly deviations to route when it can't locate you. This has the consequence that some journeys appear like I fly around or walk on water. This is not the case. I would prefer just blanks for drop-out periods of time. Any GPS device works much better in open spaces rather than built-up urban ramblings.

As a watch model, the comparable device is the Garmin forerunner. The Garmin probably has more 'stickability' and usability for its GPS (I have Garmin handheld for comparison). Its greater reception and stronger GPS reception is due to its bigger aerial. That means it's also bigger and probably emitting strange things into your arm. The battery life on Garmin receivers is very frustrating and I have had no problems with the x9i though its continual GPS use would be limited to 4-5 hours. Personally, I am prepared to live with the slightly more delicate reception of the x9i in order to use a much more elegant device. The watch looks like a watch and its smooth contours and rubberised grippy surface have design aesthetics and simplicity of display that Garmin doesn't. If you primarily (or only) use GPS, buy the Garmin. If you are concerned about looks and multi-function and if you are patient to setup a good connection first time, I think you will be pleasantly rewarded by this watch. I really like that it charges off my USB. Also, using Desktop Parallels and Win XP, I exchange the data into Trek Manager and X-loader uploading to Google with my Macbook ;-)

I used just for a week and GPS entered into a sleep mode. There is no way of leaving this state but draining the battery until it is empty. This can last more than two months. Suunto recognized that X9i can "crash" in some occasions and the only way is to reset it. But there is no reset button!

The Wing Comp features a dual suspension 7005 alloy main frame and steel rear triangle, equiped with a Spinner Grind Fork and RST-22 rear shock. Make a quick shift on the go with Shimano EF-29 EZ-fire trigger shifters, C-050 front and Altus rear derailleurs. Take on the trail or mountain with the Kenda Koyote tires, Alex SCE17 w/ GSW 32H rims and RPM cold forged alloy cranks.

This bicycle is exactly as advertised. Assembly took about 30 minutes and I was up and running. The rear gears needed some slight adjusting, then everything worked great. For the price, this is a good bicycle. The one drawback is that it is quite heavy. Other than that I have no complaints.

One of the main reasons I chose this bike (and thought I was paying a little extra) was because it was advertised with 24 speeds, which I wanted for the hilly gravel roads we have here. Once I had it all assembled, I realized it only has 21 speeds. Assembly takes about an hour to unpack, inflate tires, mount front tire, attach handle bar, attach & adjust seat, and attach pedals. A tune-up would take several hours more as the brakes, the wobble in the front wheel, and both derailleurs need adjusting at the very least. For this I recommend the book Bicycle Maintenance & Repair (by Bicycling magazine). The documentation provided with the bike is thorough, but really intended for someone with technical knowledge and know-how. The stamped serial number is not legible - half of it's missing - so it can't be used for identification purposes if the bike is stolen. The bike appears to be of good average quality, but is not as advertised, and has to be returned.

everything about the bike was great but...............it came missing a kickstand. now I have to contact the manufacturer and have it sent.

This bike has a 6061 aircraft quality aluminum frame with aluminum alloy for forks and a alloy steel rear triangle. Easy assembly with basic hand tools within 30 minutes. you will need a tire pump since the tires are only partially filled at the factory. The shifters needed some adjustment to get in the correct gear which was easy. The bike features quick release hubs, (front and rear), a quick release seat post and thumb styles shifters. The bike has a very smooth ride compared to a traditional hard frame and could be even smoother if the tires were switched to comfort style tires but that would limit the bike to paved surfaces. My son who is more of an avid rider that myself said this bike was better than his Diamondback Outlook.
Overall, if you are looking for an entry to mid level bike that is better than the run of the mill department store stuff. this might be your bike especially during the August clearance sale when they change year models/colors. The free shipping and no sales tax makes it even more attractive.

I bought 2004 model (same but red/white color). It was on clearance at Amazon for $229.00 total. I used it on the bike lane beside my house with the kids. With the gas sky rocketing I decided to carpool, so started to bike 1 1/2 each way to the subway station to meet my ride and lock my bike with heavy duty cable. There are about 50 to 100 bikes chained to serires of posts. The bike was great. Shifts were smooth, the dual suspension makes you feel that you are riding on air. After couple month my bike was stolen. From all the bike, some were better than mine with less thicker cable, the ..... choose my bike. I was dsapointed, espacially I was enjoying the ride and the smootheness of the bike. Now I'm using my old bike which no one will take even if I left it unlocked. I bought a new Master Lock Street Cuff and a very thick chain (both with warranties to replace the bike if the lock was broken).
Now, I'm waiting for my birthday in August and hoping the bike will go on sale till then.
I strongly recommend the bike. I will buy one in august.

Instantly seals punctures up to 1/8" as you ride. Works repeatedly, lasts up to 2 years.

I ride trails and bikeways in the Phoenix area. It's pretty much impossible to ride any significant distance in this environment without running over a goat head thorn or some other sharp spine dropped by the native plants.

These tubes perform as advertised, plugging pinhole leaks caused by these thorn punctures. Note however, that due to the sheer number of thorns in my areas, I have also found it necessary to use tire liners (in addition to the Slime tubes) to minimize the number of punctures that the slime has to seal. The reasoning for this: the tire liners by themselves do not stop all punctures, and the practice of using the slime by itself results in quickly depleted tubes due to the sheer number of holes (I've had over 20 punctures in one tire at the same time, the Slime sealed them all without flatting; however, there's only so much Slime inside the tube and it depletes quickly with that many holes to patch).

The combination of the slime tubes and the tire liners has virtually eliminated the flats that I experience on the trails. Occasionally, a tire will go flat overnight after riding; however, pumping the tire and spinning it will allow the Slime to seal the puncture.

Note: I use the 26" Lite tubes on my 29" Mountain bike with no problems. Slime does not offer a light weight 29er tube as of yet, so I use the 26" tube to offset some of the additional weight added by the slime and the liners. Installation of the tubes is slightly more difficult but no big deal. Other than that, the 26" tubes have held up just as well as the "right sized" tubes.

Vertical tear caused this thing to become an unpatchable mess. Conceptually sound but, in practice, never got the chance to shine.

These tubes are a great way to get some light weight protection against flats. I have been running them for almost two years in my mountain bike.
Kept me from getting a flat and having to make a repair way back up in the hills miles from anywhere on more than one occasion. Won't protect you from every flat--if you want ultimate protection, go with thorn resistant tubes and tire protectors, but those tubes add way too much weight and the tire protectors reduce the quality of your ride. I've heard others comment that it's had to patch a slime tube because of the slime, but I have never had that problem.

Haven't ridden this a long way yet but it's in my front wheel now and seems much lighter than the regular Slime tubes Slime Smart Tube Schrader Valve Bicycle Tube (26 x 1.75-2.125). The super light NON-slime tubes scare me in that they are probably too thin for much endurance. This looks like a good compromise because you should get automatic sealing capability AND light weight. Give it a try! We'll see how it seals as I roll on. My Bell 26" self sealing regular weight tube Self Sealing Inner Tube 20" failed once on a relatively small puncture and just made a mess. The Slime line might be better than the Bell one since it's green slime :-D.

I bought a bicycle for my Grandson for Christmas, I figure he will run through throrns, just planning ahead, the cheap things they put on bicycles(to get them out of the factury), I need something of better quality, for when this happens, and to have them on hand when this happens.

I don't drive so my bikes are my only mode of transportation. Hate fixing flats so about twelve years ago I tried Slime tubes and have kept on using them ever since. More than once I've had a flat and I mean FLAT tire that I've pumped up and that tire stays inflated because of the Slime filling in the puncture. My experience with the Slime tubes is beyond satisfactory but I'm here looking at reviews to see if anyone else has had troubles with the Slime that is added to a normal tube. I've tried it once or twice and have not been happy with it but can't remember why. I've got a new bike Forge Sconset Beach Cruiser Bike - Skyscape Blue that hasn't even been outside yet and I hate the idea of removing the wheels and taking out the brand new tubes, I'd way rather keep those tubes in place and add Slime to them. Guess I'll give it a go and the be back with another review.

It costs double of regular tube. The green slime just kept on bubbling when there was a puncture.... USELESS

Bought a couple of these and they work great until you get a flat. Once the puncture happens they leak green goo all over the place, making a complete mess of your tire. They don't work to seal off the leak at all. You might as well just buy regular tubes without the green goo in it. I am going to try liners next to prevent flats. I think the green goo is just a gimmick.

I ordered several of these tubes expecting to not have to change a bike tire for a long time. I was sorely disappointed. I'm not sure why, but I have had several flats on every bike I've put these on. I haven't treated them roughly - I just ride to school and back, about a mile each way. I keep the bikes outside, but I'm not sure what difference that would make. The tubes appear to be particularly vulnerable around the valve, and when something goes wrong smelly green stuff gets oozes out around the valve.

In short: try something else! This is a great idea but has been horribly executed by the Slime guys.

I've been stranded twice by these tires. Sure it can fix some flats but if you get a pinch flat (common in the rockies) it doesn't work. Worst of all the slime makes it so you can't patch the tire effectively (no matter how carefully you clean).

Avoid the gimmick and just use your $1 patch kit and don't be stranded.

You add some wieght to your bicycle but you have less worries on your journey. They are heavier and thicker than the regular ones but if you don't mind about weight thar are just fine.
Maybe for racers aren't the best option, but if you travel long distances, believe me, you'll be very happy.
You can eliminate weight in other parts of your bike and use this, for example changing the saddle, the stem, pedals etc.
If you have a puncture, this almost inmediatly will be fixed with the inner seallant.

Havent had a flat yet with this and have been out several times this year. Who knows I might just be lucky but it may be this has prevented some of the small pin hole leaks I normally get. Is a little trickier than a regular tube to get in without pinching the innertube.

This product was exactly what I needed and at a reasonable price.

Highly recommened for riders.

This bike is a great high-end bike at a walmart price. This is lighter than my daughter's 20" bike, and very smooth with the full suspension. The seat post issue was a familiar one as noted by other reviewer, and what I have done is to take a hack saw and saw off about 3 inches from the bottom of the seat post, which allows you to lower the seat by, you guessed it, an extra 3 inches. I bought size small (16") but the seatpost is the same for all sizes (300 mm). Even at its lowest position, the seat is at least 32 inches from the pedal. I contacted Schwinn but they could not help me on this issue. A 250 mm seatpost would be ideal for size small. No other complaints so far.

OK to start out I'm not an expert mountain biker. I've owned schwinn bikes since my paper route days some 25years ago, that said... I've been getting into mountain biking on a casual level for the last 17 years. I started with a Schwinn MP21(no suspension), and then moved to a Schwinn Mesa(front suspension), Now the Delta, I wanted to get into a soft tail without a huge price and for "classic/nostalgic" reasons I just always stick with schwinn. Didn't want to go with the walmart/target/kmart/big Box, mogoose, GMC etc......(yes I know my range was on the inexpensive side)

The box came with no problems, took me about 1.5hours to put together in my home office, (it may have taken me 30minutes but I was watching a Red Wings game). I have to say getting a soft tail is pretty sweet. I didn't realize how smooth a soft tail would feel over bumps. I am not going to radical; I'm just starting to get off "groomed" mountain bike trails in Michigan. This bike is similar to the Schwinn Rocket... mater a fact I don't know the differences, but I'm sure it may use heavier/cheaper components.... That said, the components have not been a problem, it shifts and stops fine for me. I figured for $270 to start was a really good price.... I have a thule big mouth rack, that I diffidently recommend... I'm 6'2" 240lbs so I guess I think its light to lift up and down off the roof rack.... At the time of purchase Amazon only had the LG frame available which I think is the 19"... if they would have had the XL I would have purchased that... but I have not felt off balance on the LG frame, just hiked up the seat... i was kind of surprised the seat is great for me.....i thought i'd have to get a more comfortable seat

The Schwinn Delta Sport is over all a good bike. Here are what I don't like about it. It wasn't packed well, there was a big chip in the paint. The wheels don't ride true. The rear gear cassette wobbled a bit. The front shock doesn't have a full grommet cover. The seat is a little hard. I would have liked plastic pedals, (they are metal.) There is no kickstand. It comes with bottle mounts but no bottle or cage. The front gears have no cover.

Here are the things I did like. The suspension design is pretty effecient. I liked the Shimano Acera, and products. Dual suspension is all together more fun and comfortable, but probably not more effecient.

In summary I think I was expecting more for $300. But it's a pretty good bike.

I bought this seat for my Huffy cruiser and I'm very pleased with it. It rides really comfortable if your a big guy like me. I weight a little over 200 lbs. and it's nice to find a seat that I can actually feel supporting me. This bike came with a little hard seat that I don't know how anyone can actually ride on. This seat is nice and wide and just about like sitting on a small chair. If your going to ride very far and want comfort then this is the seat for you. This is the best bike seat I have ever ridden on and I highly recommend this seat.

I had difficulty getting used to mine and actually replaced it with the original bike seat.I found controlling the bike uneasy and could not seem to get it adjusted properly. My wife really likes hers though.

This is a great improvement over the original seat which was somewhat too firm and not comfortable after riding bike for over 30 minutes.

This seat has a great shape and provides both good stability and comfort.

Highly recommned it to anyone needing more comfort while exercising.

Seat was comfortable, cushy and keeps me upright during my exercise routines. Worked great on the Schwinn 131 I bought for Christmas. My wife on the other hand could never get used to not having the separation wedge between her legs and felt off balance during her routines. This became a constant sore point, so I eventually returned the bike seat to Amazon and got my money back. Only wish the shipping fee was less considering the price of the seat. I would recommend this seat to any MALE out there.

This seat was too small for me, an adult of 6 ft and 150 lbs. I could not position it for comfort because of the size. I do not recommend it for the average adult.

I have always ridden scooters, because bicycle seats have always hurt me as if some attacker was hitting my seat bones with a mallet.

But I really wanted to switch to a bicycle so I bought a folding bike by Citizen. As with all bikes, I found that I could only sit on the saddle for about five minutes before the pain began. I tried a gel saddle cover, but in my opinion, gel is just as hard as the seat beneath it, and it concentrates the pressure into two painful ridges, right under your bruised sit bones.

So I plonked down $20 and tried the Schwinn No Pressure Seat, It is the opposite of a bike saddle. Instead of raised cushions that dig into your behind, it has concave depressions for your buttocks to rest in. And it is soft, comfy and supportive, and keeps you still as well.

The difference was immediately apparent from the first pedal stroke. My bicycle endurance immediately changed from 5 minutes to all day.

I have read concerns that the absence of a front horn can cause instability but can feel no such evidence. The concave nature of each side compensates for this. Remember this is the opposite of a bike saddle and works in a different way entirely.

Your buttocks will thank you if you buy one of these.

Bought this for my stationary exercise bike. Naturally it didn't fit the post. We adapted the connection (lot of trouble) and now it fits and is a big comfort improvement over the original seat. Wish these came with some form of adapter!

My dad like the comfort of this seat but it didn't come with a
bracket to hold the seat in the bike.

Because I'm a man, I can appreciate the "freedom" this seat offers my man-parts while riding. And because I'm a thin man, I double appreciate the wide cushion shape not digging into my posterior. Unfortunately, I find myself struggling not to slip forward right off the seat. And that's no good either. So I'm still on the hunt for the perfect bicycle seat... One that cushions my behind, doesn't squish my man-parts, and holds me in place while riding.

Pros: Very comfortable on the behind. No pressure on the family jewels.

Cons: As slippery as a slip 'n slide, even when using it on my stationary bike.

At first, I rated 1 for it because it felt so strange when riding on it. Your arms would feel strained, your shoulders too. But after the first one week or two, you will begin to love this product, because it do help you get rid of the numbness you used to feel after sessions of cycling on regular seats.
A shortcoming to some people who like to rest one or even no hands on their handlebar is that it's really difficult to balance the bike without two hands when using this seat. I hate this because I like using one hand for umbrella when it rains. Otherwise, good product.

I recently purchased this seat saddle cover and so for it has been great for that extra bit of bike seat comfort. The fit was a bit tight when I fitted it onto my custom seat saddleSchwinn Pillow Top Cruiser Bicycle Seat, in which helps the product stay in its place while riding (Check customer images above). Another customer reviewer from Amazon.com recommended customers to take a look at a Sheldon Brown's bike locking strategy for certain bike U-Locks; this same person also has a section on his web site about seat saddles (Google Sheldon Brown Seat Saddle); excellent information. I recommend this product if it goes on sale because, at its current price, the marginal benefit doesn't exceed the marginal price of the product (You might as well purchase a seat saddle instead of a seat saddle cover before anything). The best advice I can give you is to go to your local bike shop to test out these seat saddle/cover products first to know what type of material and seat saddle size works well for your behind.

Schwinn Adult Double Gel Bicycle Seat Cover

The schwinn® Double Gel seat cover has a drawstring for a custom fit. It's crafted with super-soft gel padding and a weatherproof Lycra® spandex cover.

Years ago I had a gel cover for my old bicycle seat and expected this would be a similar product. Instead I found this one to be not terribly cushy and kind of narrow, even for skinny ol' me. I suspected it would be best to buy a product like this in person and I should've gone with that. It's enough to get the job done but it is far from ideal.

This is a comfy bike seat cover, but it did NOT fit the Marcy PL-43211 upright stationary bike that I bought it for.

I purchased this seat to go with an exercise bicycle. Amazon had it listed as an item to purchase with the exercise bike, but I had already purchased the bike so I ordered only the seat from Amazon. It was at least 4 inches too narrow to fit on the seat of the exercise bike. That's the last time I assume the items actually go together.

I will say that Amazon's return policy made it easy to send it back, just don't know why they told us the item was appropriate for my intended use.

I purchased this seat cover for my spinning class after using one that was provided to me by my instructor. The one that I was given was great and provided and great deal of comfort (unfortunately I do not know the brand that she supplied). I purchased this cover that night after coming home and hoped for similar results. Unfortunately I was greatly disappointed. It provided very little cushion or comfort. I would recommend purchasing a different seat cover which is what I now have to do.

This seat cover was way too small for my stationary bike, so I had to return it.

This is such a relief! I can now ride my bike and keep up with my boys! It does move a little, but not enough to cause a problem when riding. The shipping took too long and was a bit steep, but the seat is a good buy.

I would recommend this bike seat. Without it I was very sore after riding. Now I can ride much further! Happy riding!

The gel seat cover made a big difference while riding my bike. It provided the much needed cushioning that I desired. It fit perfectly over the seat that was on my Schwinn bike. It fit snugly and does not move around while riding.

As much as I like standing climbs in my spinning classes, now I also enjoy sitting! This gel seat cover easily fits onto the seat to provide comfort at a VERY reasonable cost. At the end of a ride, my bottom is no longer sore. I have told, and will continue to tell everyone in my spinning classes to purchase this item! I will never ride a bike without this seat cover again!

Couldn't blow up a baloon. The cheap plastic nozzle broke off on first use.

A good product but would be better if supplied with alligator clips to hook directly to a 12 volt battery.

This is a great item... if you need to get the air out of your tires. It worked okay for a few months of infrequent, light duty then croaked during the monumental task of trying to inflate a children's bike tire. The pressure meter went berzerk and hit infinity. So I tested it on my mountain bike which had a tire that was only slightly low to make sure it was the pump and not just a popped tire. It DEFLATED the mountain bike tire so fast it was amazing! I'm sticking with manual pumps from here on in. A note for those unaware: Many companies sign agreements with "big name" manufacturers to use the big name on their product, so that you will think the product is well-tested and high quality. But often, the big name doesn't make the product at all and the customer gets burned. I think this product is a case in point.

Device failed after a few uses. Not very powerful at all. Built in gauge is useless. No on/off switch. Save your money, blow your self.

I bought this unit because I was sick of paying for air at the gas station. I would have been better served by buying a manual bicycle pump. The unit's inflation rate was very slow and it got very hot during normal operation. The guage was highly inaccurate. It failed (internal air leak) after only a few uses. Well, I guess the on/off switch in the cord functioned - at least until the unit failed.

Run, don't walk, Run away from this product. I wish I could give it zero stars.

Schwinn Pillow Top Cruiser Bicycle Seat

This seat is poorly made and keeps shifting to the side. I haven't used it long and now need to buy another one.

I purchased this seat to replace the seat that comes with my stationary bike. Boy am I glad I did. This seat is very comfy. I am able to sit on it for exercise a lot longer than I could on the original seat. This was a great buy.

Good investment, thought I was buying a seat cover to use in spinning class but ended up having to switch seats on bike and am pain free now.

Since I have began driving on a 12 mile exercise routine, my buttock would ache on manufactured seat that came with the bike after about 3 miles in the ride. Thank you Schwinn for a comfortable ride, because i ride the whole 12 miles with out the ache. I would recommend this seat for anyone's' dairy air.

There is a stud for each big spring in the rear. These springs are held to the seat by a nut on the stud. One of these nuts came off (who knows when?). I got the seat in August 2008 and noticed the nut gone Feb 5th (yes I commute on my bike to work through the winter). It dosnt seem to want to accept a new nut - the stud just keeps spinning and it wont tighten up. As ong as the other nut stays there, I guess it still works but... (pun intended).

Ordered this product to fit a tired rear end. I always avoided bike riding due to the uncomfortable feeling that was associated with this activity. I ordered this seat after reading the current reviews and thought that it would be fine for my 1 a summer ride. Well I have used my bike with the grandkids now 3 times and no more pain.....

I bought this seat for my wife and though we haven't ridden very much since then, it's apparent that it's very comfortable. I was a little cautious because it wasn't a gel seat, but it is certainly as comfortable as any gel seat I've tried. Thumbs up for sure.

I bought this as a replacement for the factory seat on my bicycle because the old seat was bruising my behind. This took a little getting used to and it is a little wider than I would like (I'm petite), but it's by far and away more comfortable than the old seat. My boyfriend even likes it, although he has to angle it down so as to give more room for the "boys". For the price I think it's easily comparable to the 300 dollar gel seat I have on my other bike.

I got this to replace the seat my bike came with since the original one was making me sore after riding for a couple of hours.

When I first sat on the seat it felt pretty weird but I got used to it pretty quickly. It's way more comfortable than my old seat; I don't get sore from sitting on it (although I rarely ride for more than a couple hours per day).

Not sure if it's the best seat out there, but it's definitely a good value.

The Schwinn bicycle seat I ordered arrived within (a couple of days) from placing my order. The seat is comfortable and well cushioned. I am satisfied with my purchase. I have previously made purchases from Amazon.com and have received prompt service and satisfied with the quality of my purchases!

I am sure that the product is a "good" product and very well made, but the full description of the product was not conveyed properly in the ad. In the picture of the product, it appears to be a full size comfort bicycle seat, but when received, it is more like a racing bike seat, and not very comfortable.
I returned the product for credit, and apprecited the way the credit was handled and expedited.
Will certainly make other purchases via Amazon.com

It looked wider than it is. It is not any wider than the seat that came with my bike.

Even though this seat is a gel seat, it still feels like a serious performance seat. The picture makes the seat look fairly wide, but the reality is it has more of a racing saddle profile than a cruiser seat. I have yet to take it on a long trip, but I believe it will alleviate some discomfort. I think I'll still need to work on developing muscles in certain key areas though!

A big improvement over the stock saddle I was riding but less comfortable than I wished it were but then what I really want is a tractor seat.

My 15 year old seat was worn torn and ugly and I saw this on sale so I bought it. Its about as uncomfortable as the old seat on my 10 speed but it sure looks a lot nicer. The seat is pretty firm, so lighter people may not get much cushioning out of the padding. You do have to tighten the snot out of the bolts otherwise it will tilt after its mounted. You can flip the mounting bracket and slide the seat forward or backward on the rails to fine tune your reach to the bars.

This seat is great for long bike trips. I biked 180 miles in 5 days and I did not start feeling the effects of being on a bike for a long time until day 3.

I tried out my new saddle today and rode 4 hours on it. It was a very comfortable ride throughout and for the price I would definitely recommend it. The seat has a very cushy feel, but I wouldn't claim it as being "pillow soft."

Saddle is great for me. I ride my bike to work daily so I only do a few miles a day. Seat works great and is comfortable. Be sure to tighten it well-was a bit loose the first day I was riding and it was tilting up and down on bumpy roads---not fun. Once I tightened it up it has been great.

After receiving the product, which was fast and without problems, I installed the product on my bike.

I AM NOW 100% satisfied. The product is soft, comfortable, and easy to adjust to fit me accurately.

Before, I couldn't ride my bike without having pain from sitting; now its as comfortable as a pillow.

MY Wiife and I are appreciative of such good customer service and a reliable product.

This item is really great for the price and works really good. We have been using it for a couple of weeks and like it. It's nice to know how far you have gone and have the time and temperature. Installing it was very easy and only took a few minutes but the instructions are just about useless as far as setting up the reading on the screen. Their very confusing and not accurate. I don't know who wrote them but I don't think they actually had the thing in their hands when they wrote them. I just played with it for a while and finally figured out how to set everything on my own, it just took a few hours. If you can set a digital watch, it's about the same. It's hard to check anything on it while riding. You have to stop most of the time to switch between any of the reading. It's pretty easy to read while riding, even in bright sun light. It has no way to turn it off that we can find, you just have to let it go off on it's own and that wastes the battery. It starts on it's own so unless you remove it, any time you move the bike it comes on again. If it's back lighted for night riding we haven't figured out how to turn that own so we can't see it at night. Other than being very hard to set up it's a good little item for the price we gave for it of under $10.

The cycle computer seemed fine initially. After a couple months of limited use by my 12 year old, the screen faded and you could see only bits and pieces of the LED display. He even kept the computer inside the house after each use. I changed the battery and fiddled around. But that still didn't fix the problem. I am looking to see how to return the item, but since it is a few months old, I am not hopeful.

For the price you can't beat it. Wanted a computer to let me know how fast I'm going, average speed, trip miles,
total miles, trip time, current time, temperature and calories burned. It does all of this and very accurately too.
Sure, you could spend more and get a better computer that is also wireless and maybe even has easier function controls. But for $10.00? Depends on how much you want to spend for the info.

It's a great computer and it's a great price. I've had mine for two weeks now and I love it. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys riding their bikes.

The first thing you need to do is read the directions. If you follow them step by step and enter the correct information, you will be up and running in minutes. I installed mine in less than 10 minutes and it works perfectly. I believe a lot of the negative reviews are from people who failed to follow the directions.

for $[...] it's a no brainer and I didn't have any problems installing it (you don't need the magnet to bet 1mm apart. I have mine 5-7mm apart (1/4" or so) and it works just fine. The wheel measurement in mm is somewhat glossed over in the manual, so reading the reviews here help, since you need to enter the wheel circonferance in mm accurately, or else the data is of course bogus.

My only complain is that it has too many bogus functions - like calories, fat burned, etc... it can't know that since it doesn't have a pedal sensor so it has no idea if you clibing up or just crusing at 4mph !
even then it would depend on your bike weigth, rolling restistance, etc...

The problem with having too many toy functions is that you have to cycle through all that crap to get the few tibits of info you care while ridding (speed, time, distance, etc..) which is not optimum. It's hard to see the category when you're ridding twisty single tracks in teh moutain. I would much prefer having 1 screen with all 4 settings and leave it as that for example.

I have the right clearance between the sensor and the spoke magnet. I didn't ever get the item to function. Too late to return.

I have been unable to use this bike computer due to the fact that the spoke magnet was missing from the package.

This thing is pretty neat, a steal at less than ten bucks, and light-years beyond the odo-speedo-cabled thingie I had on my bike as a kid. It's a little tricky getting the sending unit and pickup properly aligned - requiring some trial and error, perhaps - and I'd have given this thing five stars but for all the extra wire I had to loop-up and zip tie, but aside from those gripes it's hard to find fault with it.

Schwinn 17-Function Bike Computer

The schwinn 17 function bike computer was orderded as a Christmas gift for my son. It arrived on time and in good condition. Schwinn's bike computer operates much better than one he had purchased from a competing company. He is very satified with it and would recommend it.

I bought two of these at different times. One had a problem with the backlight not working, but other then that, these are really a great value for the money.
It has features that cycle computers 4 times this much don't have! Fairly easy to mount and set up. Easy to use once you get the hang of it.
I definitely would recommend this item.

This bike seat is very soft and well made. The reasone I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is due to the width of the seat. For larger riders this seat is very narrow. I found the stock seat on my Schwinn Ridge AL bike to be more comfortable.

Absolutely great once I got it adjusted properly. I ride about 10 miles commuting every day of the week. It's cloth so it absorbs water in the rain. But that's really my own complaint. It's quite comfortable and very good for my back once I figure out where I needed it to be. For the price(!) I would highly recommend it... Very good value.

OK...it's better than a lot out there on the market. But, it still doesn't stack up to what I usually install on the older road bikes I refurbish & sell. What I usually buy is an Avenir Groove Dual Saddle. I bought one of these at my local K-Mart to save a couple of bucks. I wish I would've spent the few extra bucks for the Avenir Saddle. We went on a 17 mile downhill bike ride with my new seat. Its very comfortable & soft but I still got a little sore, but soreness did not last long. But I still think it is a nice comfortable seat.

This seat is super comfortable. I had a chance to take a trip on a very uncomfortable saddle recently and have come to appreciate my Schwinn saddle even more. I've used it almost daily for my 8 mile (x2) commute since I started biking 3 months ago. I just took it on my first real ride - 33 miles. Toward the end I was experiencing numbness which may have been avoided by moving the front of the saddle down a bit but overall I had a great ride thanks to this saddle! For comparison's sake I'm height/weight proportionate and wear chamois bike shorts when I ride. I have virtually no rear end, so I need all the cushioning I can get!

I can see where durability may be an issue in a year or two or five, but I'm willing to deal with the minor hassle of buying a new saddle sooner should that happen.

The "stock" seat that came with my road bike was not very comfy. Put this guy on and it made a huge difference. Way, way better. For a baseline, I am a super-novice. My bicycling experience stopped with my driver's license 15 years ago. With a job relocation, I am about 10 miles from work and use it to commute a few times a week on a road bike. What used to be a relatively painful event for my behind is now pretty darn good. I can easily say this seat is perfect for my needs, and it doesn't even get hot in the sun like my old seat. It's a good fit and makes biking so much more enjoyable that I am now more inclined to ride than I was before this seat. BTW, I have not used biking shorts so I am interested to see how much softer everything will be once I go that route.

Just started getting into riding, after awhile I noticed that my thighs were killing me from the standard seat. So I started looking around and found this seat to be really intresting, specially with the "relief zone." As soon as I started riding I noticed a difference, I was really impressed on how comfortable it was, and that the relief zone actually works. Definitly a upgrade from the standard seat, I am not a bike expert, but this is definilty worth getting.

This seat is a must for guys, especially if you go on long rides! The center groove relieves the pressure, it's so comfortable. I ride 45 miles every week and never felt uncomfortable! This is probably one of the best investments I've ever made to my bike

It's very comfortable and looks like a quality seat. I usually bike about 20 miles at a time and have no problems with it.

I just removed the mounting brackets it came with and used the ones already on my bike from my old seat.

I purchased this bike about 10 days before this review was written and have had it for about 8 of those days. This is my first time owning a bike since I was about 13 (I'm 18 now) and my first time owning a 26 inch. I bought this bike so that I could squeeze more physical activity into my day because I work a lot and don't really have time to go to the gym that often. I've ridden this bike pretty much everyday that I've had it and it rides great. It gets me from my house to downtown Baltimore without any problems at all.

When I first received the bike I was surprised that it arrived so quickly. I chose the free standard shipping from Amazon but somehow the bike arrived the next morning. Assembling the bike was quite easy. Any problems that I ran into were the result of the rest of my order arriving two days after the bike did so I was stuck using the tools that I had around the house. Anyway, overall the bike is a great bike for me. I love that it changes gears easily and smoothly. I also love that it was only $170 when I made my purchase.

If you purchase this bike, I hope you like it as much as I do.

I got this bike to see if I could get back in to the good old sport of mountain biking. This bike was a good encouragement...but I had a few problems with it even after getting it tuned twice.

1) The brakes were never tight enough.
2) The chains were slipping off and hitting the wheels.
3) The wheels were out of line.

But all in all, for the price...I can't really complain...but I'll probably get a new bike as soon as this one falls apart even more.

This bike is not worth $300 but if you could get it for the $150 some reviewers got it for that's a different story. It's heavy and very slow. It seems like I'm using all my energy and going 2 mph. I usually ride a road bike 100 miles per week so it's not me. I would go for a hardtail columbia bike or something for $300 if I could do it over. The suspension just adds weight and soaks up all the pedaling power.

I purchased this bike because the price was great and it came with dual suspension and front/rear disc brakes. The only problem with the bike is that beginner tuners will have a hard time getting the brakes right as well as the gearing. I paid a shop to get it all right for me, the bike works perfect now.

I've taken this bike on long distances on and off road, down the stairs, up hills. I rode this bike from Long Island to Manhattan with no problems, it's pretty light as well. This bike is the best bang for the buck. It's not no professional bike but it gets the job done.

The only other problem with the bike is when your adding serious torque, the bike tends to flex in a way that the front derailleur kind of touches the chain. It's a tiny problem and can be easily overlooked. Also, GMC (or whoever made it) tends to keep the price resonable by adding outdated parts, like the shifter, etc.....that's not a problem for me. New things always cost lots of $$$.

My cousin purchased a bike shop recommended bicycle for almost $300 (front suspension only, and V type brakes), I payed $229 for my topkick. Apparently this recommended bike is supposed to be better than the GMC topkick. Turns out that the GMC topkick is lighter than this recommended bike and rides smoother.

Once again, I recommended this bike for everyone. Just remember to spend the extra $$$ to get a shop to tune it for you.

I've had the GMC Topkick for almost a month now, during which I have been using it daily (home-work); it has also been put to the test on a biking trail in a nearby state park.

First of all, let me say this: the topkick is a beautiful bike. So if fancy looks is the number one factor for you, stop reading and just buy it. It looks rugged, serious, sporty but with a certain "class." Secondly, the bike is indeed amply endowed with disk brakes and full suspension, things one can find only in high-end models costing over $1,500.

On the negative side, this is a heavy bike (did you think they simply "forgot" to mention its weight?). It does not compare to truly lightweight mountain bikes and, although for daily in-city use this is indeed minor, on the trail it can be problematic and make your life quite harder. This is not to say that the bike is unbearably heavy---it still is much lighter than any of my older bikes. Also, the bike comes with no "direct" assembly instructions. However, there are two manuals which more-or-less contain all the necessary instructions scattered among various chapters (e.g., in the how-to-change-a-tire chapter, how-to-install-the-brake chapter, etc.). I do not really consider myself a technically savvy person but I found a way to assemble it by peeking at these (somehow overly technical) instructions within 2 hours, so I guess it's not impossible.

As far as the quality of the different parts (brakes, shifting, etc.) is concerned, I am not sure I can express an opinion, as I am no expert. Time will tell; so far so good though. In general I consider my purchase a good one: the bike looks great, does the job and will give you a fun, comfortable ride everywhere. It is not a substitute for a $2,000 bike, but it was never meant to be.

GMC Topkick Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike
Amazon came through again with the best price on the web. It was such a good deal that I bought two! With no sales tax and free two day "Prime" shipping, I figure that I saved $200 over store retail for the pair. Packing was about as good as one would expect. There were a couple of small nicks to the frame but a black Sharpie fixed them to where one does not notice. Other than that there was no damage. As other buyers have stated it is a tad heavy (38 lbs?), but that is a testament to its solid construction. The rims are somewhat narrow but I plan to ride more for pleasure than sport. For those two reasons I rated this bike a four out of five stars. If the manufacturer could change those two features it would be a solid five star mountain bike. I am 6'3" and the frame fits me fine when straddled (it measure 31" at the upper cross bar). I would have liked a higher handlebar height but I can live with it...Thank goodness I have long arms!

I looked at a lot of bikes before making a final decision...All were considerably more expensive with the same basic features. If you plan to ride aggressive this may not be the bike for you...But for street and light off roading it is a real bargin at $229.95.

Let's put it this way: If you don't know how to tune dérailleurs and brakes, you'd better learn it now or shell out your dough for others to tune. Chances are, you probably need to tune everything. The bike is very easy to put together. I am a total newbie and it only took me 1.5 hour. However, it took me about a week to finally tune the front/rear dérailleurs and disc brake. Of course, I am a newbie and I am learning and tuning at the same time. It can get frustrating and you might not interested in going through the pain. However, when it's all said and done, I have learn and understood and comfortable in bike tuning. For those of you who does not want to DIY, get it to a bike shop. Certainly, if you are very familiar with tuning, usually it can be done in 1-2 hours.

With that said, the quality of the bike is acceptable. The disc brake is functional and brake nicely. The rear dérailleur is good quality shimano part and easy to tune. The front dérailleur is kinda cheap and flimsy and I had a hard to tune it properly. The shifting, in general, louder than average and not very smooth. With tuning, I eliminated under shift, gear skipping, hesitation, and some cage rubbing. I even have to lube the dérailleur to make the spring return mechanism work properly.

The brake cable could use some lubrication. To top these all off, the bike is about 40-50lbs and it is heavy. I weight 150+lb and this thing is almost 1/3 of me. However, the beefy weight does come with a benefit: The aluminum frame is very sturdy and strong. It will last a long time with proper maintenance. However, with that weight, I would not recommend taking it to the "mountain" perform stunt and get crazy. I will stick to the pavement.

The suspension fork is functional and good. The rear suspension is very stiff and I don't feel it smooths out the ride that much. I am trying to save $$ here and quite frankly, I get what I paid for. This bike is not really good, but not bad at all. If you just need a bike to get around town and not into the whole mountain thing and don't mind the weight. By all mean, GET IT. I give it 3-4 STARS.

Overall the product is very satisfactory. We have had a couple minor issues, which possibly could be associated with the assembly. Overall, it is a great product and looks very good as well.

Good bang for a buck... Dual suspension + disk brakes. Nicely built sturdy bike.

First off, I ordered this bike from Amazon at $150 on March 5th and was told 4-6 week delivery at mid April being the estimated ship date. Luckily, I got it by March 20th, assembled it, and just took it out for a test ride. Overall I am very satisfied, it is a very solid bike worth every penny.

As previous reviewers have mentioned, shipping quality isn't astounding, but it doesn't seem like I have any damaged parts other than slight frame scratches.

Assembly is quite tedious and the only fault about this bike I could really come up with was the lack of instructions (besides the bike being a little bit heavy) but it isn't hard to figure out. Only tools you need are hex wrenches and pliers. Mounting the front brake was confusing and tweaking it to align right was tricky, make sure you understand which way to mount and how to tweak before assembling the brake. Also, make sure you screw the pedals in completely. I failed to do so and the pedal snapped out of place while riding, although I was able to fix it.

The dual suspension is really nice to have as well as disk brakes (the main reason I opted for this model) and quick release tires/seat are nice. Seat is a little uncomfortable, shifting isn't that smooth, but both do the job.

The rear suspension takes up space in the middle. I mounted a pump and lock on it but no room for water bottle. The kickstand is not your average flimsy stick, very sturdy. Handle bars aren't the best but adequate. Be sure to tighten everything!

The bike was worth every penny at $150 (keep in mind that it came with a claimed 4-6 week wait), jumped to $260 as of today. I'd say if it dropped under $200, get it.

the bike came partialy assembled in good condition , some cosmetic damage but overall a good deal for the money. i would recomend this bike.

So I ordered the bell influx helmet and was excited to pull it out of the box. But imagine my disappointment to see the poor craftsmanship of what appeared to be a sloppy job in putting the helmet together. No matter, I'm not riding in a fashion show. Then putting the helmet on, it fits over all of my hair which is great, but adjusting the chin strap proves to be a huge chore. I enjoy how light the helmet is, and it surprisingly keeps my head feeling warm in the winter- but I would have liked a little more comfort and style to get 5 stars.

This is my 2nd helmet. I much perfer this helmet to my other it is lighter in weight and has better airflow which helps with sweating. This one also fits better due to the internal adjustments that you can make.

There's no need to spend over 100 to get styling and the protection you need. This helmet has a very wide range of adjustments to ensure a proper fit; and a proper fit is essential to receive the highest level of protection this helmet provides.
Bell makes some of the best bike helmets so you can't go wrong with this one.
Don't skimp on your safety.

I've used it a few times on 7-10 mile bike rides to the beach and back and found it very comfortable and cool. Amazon had the best price I could find, so I'm very pleased with my purchase. My only complaint is the helmet was really dirty when I received it. Looked like it had been sitting on a shelf collecting dust. You think somebody could of blown or wiped it off before shipping...

Great design, I would recommend it to anyone. Plenty of vent holes, slightly heavier than a road bike helmet but not too bad. Lots of protective area for the back of your head as well.

ALL Bicycle helmets should be replaced after 1 - 3 seasons, depending on use. Over time, the injection-molded foam simply gets brittle and is no longer safe.

I'm getting ready to replace my Influx, and plan on getting another. It fits me perfectly, the Roc-Loc adjustment wheel is the best on the market, it comes in color schemes to match every taste, and it's reasonably priced. What more could you ask for?

I gave the helmet to my husband for Father's Day. I was afraid that the helmet was not going to fit his head but after making some adjustments to the helmet, it fitted perfectly. He loves the helmet and I love the peace of mind of knowing he is protected when he rides his bike.

As expected, very comfortable, good airflow, nice change from my very old (15 yrs) headgear.

After too many years without a bike I finally decided it was time to buy one for commuting from work. Since the bike cost more than I planned for, I wanted to get a good helmet at the lowest price. I started by trying on lower priced helmets but just didn't get a comfortable fit. When I got to the Influx, the fit felt good. A month later, I'm still happy with my new helmet.

To get a proper fit, the straps must be properly adjusted. The five simple steps are detailed in the owner's manual complete with diagrams. Basically one wears the helmet in its proper position, adjusts the Cam-Lock adjustors, pull the chin strap tight, set the geared positioning system (GPS), and test the helmet's fit.

It is recommended that after an accident, the helmet be replaced, as damage is not always obvious. Bell offers a crash replacement policy for purchases in Canada and the US costing $35 in the states. Excessive heat can damage this helmet, store in a cool dry place when not in use. Heat damage is indicated by uneven or bubbly surfaces.

This lightweight helmet provides the protection I need, fits comfortably, and keeps my head cool. The Influx has proved to be a good purchase for me.

I like the screw on/off mechanism for changing back and forth from schrader to presta. Nice if you have bikes with different valves in the family. The grey plastic chamber makes a nice seal over both of these valves too. It's a good pump to have on the road/trail for emergencies for a good price. Ride on!

This pump works great for typical maintenance of your bike. Unless you are pumping up bike tires all day long, who needs a floor pump that takes up space and cost twice as much or more. This little guy is simple to use, feels sturdy in my hands, is easy to stow, and carries a good warranty. I would definitely recommend this pump.

At about 10.5" there are smaller frame-mounted pumps out there, but the price is right for the Blackburn Mountain Air.

The pump output is great, and it feels sturdy while pumping. It's relatively easy to switch between Schrader valves and Presta valves by swapping the orientation of the two inner valve components.

This pump mounts to the frame through the water bottle holder screws, and the mount includes a removable Velcro strap. Two spare screws (with hex heads) are also included if you need them.

With a lifetime warranty, you can't go wrong. If you want a smaller frame-mounted pump with less output, try the Blackburn Shorty.

Even though I haven't used the pump yet I can tell that it is very lightweight so I can carry it with me all the time. Quality of it also seems to be very good. Bottom line, good relation of quality and price.

Only drawback I found was it requires a lot of pumping, otherwise it is robust, light, easy to use, fits on every type of valve. Though I don't find it suitable for daily use as it requires a lot of pumping and that makes filling of tire a bit slow.

Too small and very difficult to pump unless you have a super strong arm.

I had a cheap one and i already can tell the difference of using Giro Animas. Works for me coz it has nice ventilation. Love this helmet and i would recommend this to a friend.

Four weeks ago while riding at 20 mph a squirrel darted from the side of the trail and into my front wheel. The wheel immediately stopped rotating and I somersaulted over the handlebars and landed directly on the left front of my Giro helmet. The helmet's interior broke in 4 sections and the exterior shell sustained a crushing blow. I suffered only a headache. That evening I ordered a new Giro Animas helmet and 2 weeks later I was back on the bike leading a 3 day tour up the Marin and Sonoma coastline. My doctor told me that the helmet likely prevented a serious and possibly fatal head injury. The Giro helmet is truly a life saver.
The Animus is a well designed, comfortable helmet that can be adjusted for a comfortable, secure fit. I will never be without it.

I recently adcquired this helmet, and I am very excited with it. It's a very high quality helmet and the very very best was the price!

This is a very nice helmet which was acquired at a very reasonable cost for the quality construction that you get. With a lot of the new Giro models out this one probably doesn't get the high kudos that it should. Very comfortable and very sharp!

The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that at high speeds such as whizzing downhill there seems to be a bit more wind noise created by my ears than my last Giro. However, not enough of a complaint to keep me from using it every day.

Worth the $16 dollar investment, especially if you ride on city streets

It takes a bit of adjusting but once it is on tight, it generally stays on. Every now and again, I have to re-adjust the mirror but it beats destroying my grip for a permament mirror that I really don't need. The price is right and the product basically does what it should.

Dont buy this product. I have the other mountain bike pump which is same junk just smaller. Its 90% plastic which doesnt hold up even with very occasional use. Save your money, get something else.
